On February 18th, we begin Lent at Gallery Church. It’s a season the Church has practiced for centuries to prepare our hearts for Easter by making room for God through prayer and fasting to do what only He can do and bring dead things back to life.
Leonard Ravenhill once said, “No man is greater than his prayer life,” and honestly, that is everything. Maybe your faith feels stuck. Maybe a dream went quiet. Maybe you’re just tired. The Bible’s picture of renewal is simple. Life coming back where it’s been buried. Where lethargy, apathy, disappointment, and wounds don’t get the final word.
In Genesis, Isaac didn’t find new water. He dug up old wells that had been filled in. That’s our prayer too. That God would clear what’s been blocked and renew our faith, restore our joy, and revive our hearts. So we’re praying an old, honest prayer, “Create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me.”
Join us for 40 Days of Prayer, Fasting, and Feasting.
The Prayer Guide
Below you can download our Lent Prayer Guide. Use it however it serves you best. The goal is simple: time with Jesus in His Word and in prayer both alone and together. We’re asking God to renew faith, restore joy, reignite passion, and awaken fresh vision in us as individuals and as a church.
This isn’t a daily devotional to check off. It’s a guide to help you engage the season with clarity and purpose. Inside you’ll find practical help on fasting, sample prayers, vision for what we’re believing God to renew, and Bible reading plan options to anchor you in the Word.
“And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father”
Genesis 26:18
Places and Times to Pray
Live On Zoom Prayer
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during Lent, we’re starting the day together in prayer. Just 15 minutes on Zoom at 8:30am. Simple. Focused. Expectant. Let’s give God the first moments of our day and believe Him to renew us. Click and bookmark this Zoom Link.
Nights of Prayer
During Lent, we’ll gather three different nights for one simple purpose: to pray with one another and pray over one another. These nights are about leaning in together as we ask for renewal. Listening for the Spirit. Believing that when God’s people pray, He moves. Monday Nights at 7pm.
Dates: February 23rd, March 9th, March 23rd
Thursday Prayer Room
Every Thursday from 11am-2pm during Lent we will be opening the building for prayer. You can come for 15min or the entire three hours. We wanted to create space in your week to withdraw and be with Jesus. Starting on Feb 19th and ending on April 2nd.
Prayer Cadres
Consider pulling together 2–5 people and committing to pray together once a week, bi-weekly, or whatever works for the group. Coffee shop. Living room. Lunch break. Quick call. Keep it simple, share honestly and pray for renewal in each other’s lives.
Resources for Renewal
We’re not choosing one official book or reading plan for everyone. Our primary desire is simple: however you do it, spend intentional time in the Word and in prayer. Not scrolling. Not skimming. Not multitasking. Open the Scriptures. Sit with the Holy Spirit. Listen. Respond. Talk with God.
Below you’ll find reading plans, apps, and a conversation on renewal that will help you along the way. Use them or not, but keep the main thing the main thing. Making space for Him to renew and revive what’s grown quiet.

Every Sunday a Feast
During Lent, the Church fasts and prays for renewal but Sundays are always a feast because every Sunday is a celebration of the resurrection. Historically and theologically, the Lord’s Day never functions as a fast day; it’s a weekly Easter.
That’s why Lent is counted as forty days excluding Sundays, because even in a season of self-examination, the Church refuses to act as if Jesus is still in the grave. Sundays interrupt our fasting to remind us why we’re fasting in the first place: renewal doesn’t come from denial alone, but from joy anchored in resurrection hope.
Below are the dates and details on how you can feast with us every Sunday after services…
